Our Collaboration

9b plus is a company close to our hearts, with which we have explored much of the e-commerce world and regularly exchange knowledge. Together, we learn how to conduct effective store marketing and how technology can support store owners.

Challenges

The 9b-plus store is beginning to outgrow the capabilities of the PrestaShop system, and managing its technical aspects is becoming increasingly challenging. To improve its performance, we have expanded it not only with PHP plugins but also with parallel services in Rust and Go. We have also taken over all the burdens of maintaining the store’s infrastructure from the owner and monitor its condition daily.

Store Website Built with SEO in Mind

A significant portion of the website’s marketing takes place where most users don’t look—in the code sent to browsers and other entities acting as “clients,” such as bots indexing the page. Implementing SEO is a task at the intersection of marketing and technology. Without proper indexing, the 9b-plus e-commerce business would disappear from customers’ view.

Improved Faceted Search

The extensive assortment of the 9b plus store can be difficult to browse without the right search tools. To improve the user experience, we have grouped colors and sped up the faceted search.

Integration with Google Marketing Tools

Google dominates the field of online advertising. Mastering tools like Google Merchant is the next step after good SEO implementation to establish a presence in the e-commerce world. The tools we created allow for quick synchronization of the product offerings available from Google’s search engine with those on the 9b-plus store’s website. Based on this, our client can optimize their advertising campaigns conducted through Google Ads.

Exporting Product Offerings to Other Product Search Engines

In addition to Google Merchant, we also implemented integration with other platforms, ensuring 9b-plus visibility on sites like heureka.cz, which is popular among shoppers in the Czech Republic. Through heureka.cz, customers can easily compare prices and reviews with other stores selling the same product.

Lessons Learned

Over time, we have become convinced that languages like Rust offer much greater performance and software stability. We are proud of how the additional services we created to synchronize the platform based on PrestaShop perform and how few resources they use.
